CONSERVATION EFFORTS + REUSE Conservation, reuse, and having intentional uses of our water supply will provide the greatest capacity for industrial usage of water in South Dakota. It will also promote the highest and best uses for economic development across the State.
DAMS Dams create controlled flow through the Missouri River for the transportation of goods, and also generate hydropower for the State. The USACE operates the critical pieces of infrastructure for the State. A vested interest needs to be conveyed to the USACE when the dams are improved or modified.
