Construct anti-drifting measures that include ditch design and structural/living snow fences. Allow for co-location of underground electric and broadband to improve utility resiliency.

Measurable Outcome Number of automated vehicles on South Dakota roadways and mobility service coverage.

Goal 4: Develop state, county, and local roads to support transit, tourism, and active transportation such as walking, biking, and rolling. Implementation Strategy Design roads to include infrastructure that supports active transportation initiatives, facilitates transit, and services tourism. Measurable Outcome Increase in miles of on- and off-road trails and bike lanes. Increased number of flashing beacons and HAWK systems. Increased number of scenic routes, overlooks, and rest areas. Maintain a pedestrian count inventory and monitor trends.
